Ask Legislators to support H 855 and S 802 Restorative Justice 

The Florida Restorative Justice Association (FRJA) and The Peace Alliance support new legislation in Florida Statutes that would enhance access to Restorative Justice (RJ) practices. These bills would help to meet the needs of impacted people after experiencing crime and potentially prevent recurrence.

Alexandra Barry, Elle O’Dowd, The McBride Family and many other families throughout Florida have been directly impacted by violent crime as a result of the loss of their loved ones. Gretchen Casey, a champion Victim Advocate of 34 years, has worked with countless families like these offering the benefit of restorative justice practices to assist in achieving some amount of peace. These are examples of families who are advocating for this focused way to repair and reduce violence.
